Added a new RSS button, when clicked will change the RSS feed. This will display all the RSS feeds written in config.js. Instructions about how to add more RSS commented in code.

Save your config.js before upgrading in order to copy ONLY your prefs. Do not overwrite.

Scroll dragging your finger Up, across the Rss layer in order to read the all the entry.

Slide your finger across the weather layer right-left or left-right and see how changes the Rss entry.

Save your preferences before upgrading if you came from earlier versions.

FeedMyHome 1.2

Today 18th, the new version FeedMyHome 1.2 will be released!

This version adds icons that blink when the phone receive any alerts (SMS, mail or missed calls).

It also solves a problem of the slider.

This update will not change your preferences in config.js.

If you do not want the icons to blink just go to the file: LockScreen.js and find a variable wannaBlink var = 1; then put it to 0 to stop blinking.

I thought it won’t change your prefs…but it does. I haven’t changed anything of the config.js file, but it is how repo works. Copy your config.js before upgrading or just rewrite it again!!!

I have redesigned Rss module and added a new javascript function that allows movement and opacity funcionalities.

Fixes a bug that appears when calling or receiving a phone call that cut text.

Important, in order to not rewrite config.js file again, copy it before upgrading, upgrade and then overwite with saved file.

config.js commented in English

Hi all, I didn’t expect that high number of english people downloading my theme, so the code was not commented in English.

If you want to, you can download this file [config.js] with english comments, and overwrite old file.

BUG & FIX
I’ve noticed a bug when calling text was cut.
Fixing it is easy.
Overwrite with this file (UILCDBackground.png) to /Library/Themes/FeedMyHome/UImages

How do i change preferences?

To change the preferences of the lockscreen theme we must connect to the iPhone, get a configuration file, modify it with any text editor and then upload it back to the original folder.

To download the files, we must connect with SSH.

Theme files are placed on the iPhone in: / Library / Themes / FeedMyHome.theme /

- There you will find the file config.js.

The modifiable parameters in that file, are several: (Do not erase any line, simply change the variables!)

Language, you can choose between Spanish, Catalan or English.
The number of cities you want display (1 or 2).
In order to show city name, remember to write [town, country], in lowercase.

If you want to have a USA city, you have to write it like this:
Ex: ‘new york, ny’
So it is city,state for the USA.

The RSS of which we want to read the news.
The way of reading the news can be in order or random.
When choosing an RSS feed that is not specified on file, i mean a new one, you should be aware that the rss.xml usually has at 0 position the “title” label of the Rss name. So then, you might start reading the news in position 1 or maybe 2.

To check it out, open the xml in the browser, view source and start counting …

To change Wallpaper we need to go to:
/ Library / Themes / FeedMyHome.theme / imgs /
- We will find the file fondo31.png
If we overwrite this png file, anyone who wants to change the background can do it. Remember you must have a png and 320×480 pixels.

To change the image of the slider:
/ Library / Themes / FeedMyHome.theme / Bundles / com.apple.TelephonyUI / bottombarknobgray.png
Format: png
Size: 86×45

To change the words of slider (Unlock):
/ Library / Themes / FeedMyHome.theme / Bundles / com.apple.springboard / en.lproj / SpringBoard.strings
And you can type the text that you like.

Installation

To proceed with the installation:

Add new repository: http://apt.modmyi.com

Search StatusNotifier into Cydia and install. It is the SW we use to be notified if we have new sms, emails or calls.

Now you can search the item in question: FeedMyHome and install.

With Winterboard, select this item.

We will have the lockscreen theme activated on the iphone.

Topic Overview

When you lock the iPhone this lockscreen will load up.
Refresh the data, the wheather of cities, check the sms, email and phone calls, and loads a random entry of RSS, in this case is a Spanish on-line NewsPaper (could be anyone).

In order not to sending and receiving data every so often (something useless most of the time because it is locked …), when you click (with your finger) on the layer of time, it refresh all data … So you can see if you have new mail, message text, missed calls, or read a new RSS entry without unlocking the iPhone …

This is in fact for use with wifi, flat rate (3G or GPRS), but without any flat rate! .. It makes short connections, but does.
